Squealing noise at full lock steering?

Been noticing a squealing noise coming from under the hood when engaging the steering wheel at full lock when I'm maneuvering and backing out of my driveway. I have the Dinan pulley (which comes w/ special belt). Have any of you noticed this, particularly in cold weather (whether you have underdriven pulley or not)? I'm a little puzzled as I thought that with tensioners, a squealing serpentine doesn't really happen anymore.

May be normal......I've noticed a slight squeal at full lock as well. I too have the Dinan pulley. I've been meaning to check the fluid level so this will serve as a reminder........Phil

Are you holding the wheel against the lock. That will make a noise and is also bad for the pump

Thx for the advice, yes I was holding against the lock (I have a really narrow driveway/garage and is tough to maneuver). I've since stopped doing so and this other "whirring" noise that also went on with the power steering at very low speeds that I didn't think was related (not full lock, but with small, abrupt changes in steering angle when going into the driveway) has since disappeared. Maybe the tensioners on the PS belt automatically adjusted? Anyway, appreciate the feedback.

I'm on stock pulley and occasionally get the squal myself. Only when parking car in a tight spot.

There is no reason to hold the steering against the lock, and it is not good for the pump.
