You think 360mm will be enough for you? Now that the cat is out of the bag, how can you use the 4 pot on the back? |

Yes my setup is 40lbs +/- lighter than stock...as long as my math is correct it's actually more than, but I'm just playing it safe.
Yeah the 360 size will be enough for me and I upgraded to their "lightest duty" track pad on the front, with their highest performance street pad in back. They DO make an over sized kit for you none believers (if you want something bigger than stock size). They are doing their R&D on a 6-pot caliper setup for the front. They are also redesigning a new caliper bracket to move the 4-pot that I have to the rear rotors. So this way you can have your cake and eat it too! ![]() Last edited by Raucky2000; 01-11-2013 at 06:51 AM. Reason: addition |

RB really loves their 4pot caliper and with their testing have proven it can provide the same or better performance than many of the 6pot calipers out there. When we discussed the design of the kits, I pushed that most people want a 6pot kit. The owner assured me that his 4pot kit would be more than worthy but that we could definitely shoot for a 6pot in the future.

This is a bad idea. The pistons are way too big. It would require a lot of customization. A different 4 piston caliper, yes. The one you have probably not worth the trouble. You would need some combination of the following: huge pistons up front, different master cylinder, different pad compounds back and front.

I really hope they are using a M3-specific caliper application as opposed to using a universal sized piston caliper with adapters to fit the M3. The brake proportioning will be way off. |

Right now, yes. The M3 is a small market so orders will be produced on an as needed basis for the time being in addition to the fact that they are a small company.

IMO, on paper, this kit is great because it is very versatile. I hope early adopters will not have too many issues, and this should become one of the mainstay kits for the E9X M3.

Alright guys, the install went completely smooth, no stumbles at all. There is tons of room behind the stock rims. I'll enough space to go down to 18" rims too, which is what I'll race on. I have a retail shop so that's why it has taken me soooo long to get these on. I just got done bedding the rotors, so I'm still waiting a chance to really get on them. I'll report back tonight

Isn't this kit about the same price as the Stoptech front kit at 380mm?
I don't care how many pistons a kit has, as long as it's designed properly.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Alright so the verdict is in after a bunch of starting and stopping. If the stock brakes made you feel like this
Then the RB kit and rotors will make you feel like this All I can say is I don't care how many pistons you have, because this setup rocks and rocks it hard. Great pedal feed back, modulation is good and firm, but not super rock hard and dead feeling like some of the race cars I've driven. This kit really is a great setup for the track days (Plus they have fast change out pads!) and daily driving, you won't be disappointed. ^Sure they might be around the StopTech pricing (I honestly can't remember if they are more or less), but I bet that these stop every bit as good, if not better and save a ton of weight off the car, which is a huge benefit! For me, this was a great addition to a great car and everyone that's seen them in person, was really impressed. THEY ARE WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Raucky2000 those are very nice looking and unique. Good to see something not mainstream. Question for an not about the brakes..what jacks are you using? I really like those!
