For those interested in a light weight Braille battery and mounting plate set-up that will be a very easy bolt-in to your E36/38/39/46/9X chassis, it's here!

Mounting plate is black anodized light weight aluminum, which will fit with either of the 11.5, 15 or 21 lbs Braille light weight battery. Weight savings can be 40+ lbs (depends on the size of battery purchased) when compared to a stock size BMW battery.

The Braille 21 has more than enough cranking power to turn over the M3 power plant many times over.

If you like to sit and listen to your radio for hours with the engine off, the Braille 21 may not be up to the task.

Heh, carbon being used for looks in places you can't even see it now.

I can't imagine pulling up to a meet and pulling out my battery to show everyone the carbon on it.

It's maily for looks. Carbon just looks cool, but can't really be seen when it's sitting in your trunk.

dude i am not ... i was thinking to go with 15lb one but after talking to Harold last weekend I don't think it will work as good as 21lb.

another thing is that my car is almost every other week at the dealership and it is a bitch to swap them all the time ... the stock one is heavy as hell ...

Dealer may frown on the Braille battery just like other aftermarket mods. Remove it before the dealer visit is a good idea.

Only if the battery is not kept charged up or the vehicle is driven for very short distances and just parked most of the time.
