I'm surprised the MP4 wasn't blasting away from the M3 more on the straights. But then again, it's wet, he's probably holding back somewhat. I would be with a quarter mill car

M3 is a better driver, there's no real way the MP4 shouldn't have been pulling away more everywhere.

I have a Dinan Stage II suspension, GC plates, dinan pulley and rear exhaust.

The difference was the line I was using. Far from a classic wet line but there were certain turns where I was getting on the gas way earlier. So by the time he got on the gas, I had significantly closed the distance. Then by the time he started to pull on me, he got into a braking zone. The MP4 was staying on the dry line through the braking zones, I was straddling the areas typically used.

I've driven with that guy before. On the dry, he definitely pulls on the straights. I can keep up and make up the gap in the corners but I'm sure I'm working much harder and sliding and throttle steering a lot more.

I'll give that MP4 all the credit in the world. He WAS driving it on a wet track and wasn't really holding back.

No need to except for certain places. I found that I could get away with staying about 2 tire widths off the normal line which isn't as polished.

The key with NT01s is to avoid standing water at ALL costs.

Very cool. . I won't use mine in the rain. Not enough guts yet.

My NT01s were new and pretty decent on wet pavement. Actually, surprisingly good. But they were terrible in standing water. I drove to the track on them in the wet and I definitely took my time. I imagine as the tread gets worn away...they get significantly worse in the wet.

I have the front camber plates and run -2.5 of camber in the front. The rear suspension is set to Dinan's Stage 3 specs.

OP, nice driving. That's all there is to it.
People don't realize how it's the driver that matters, WAY more than the car.

How is the rain line different than the standard line?

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Thanks...here is a sample of the dry line. Fast forward through the first lap which was garbage. On this track, I straddle the heavy braking zones and stay off the areas where the car is really loaded up on since the concrete was generally more polished and slicker in those areas.
