18's are a way better tire for a track car. 19's are for more show off and street use. I mean you can run a set of 19's for a track car but it would be pointless because they weigh more and it has a bigger diameter so its a hair slower. 18's you can have alot more useable tire than with a set of 19's. You have to be running like a 30 series tire which has a very very thin sidewall. with 18's you can run a much thicker (suitable for a track car) sidewall.

And OP, your car sits absolutely amazing. I dont know if its the wheels or the suspension, which its probably both but thats exactly how I would want my car to sit. It looks planted and literally ready to go hit the track Very NICE SETUP so far!

I am too for my E30 build. If BMW used real rear suspension instead of trailing arms then this wouldn't be so difficult. I think I'm going to swap in a different rear subframe, like the Nissan Silvia.

Nice, But is this for show or for track? Why not put some of the budget towards a better intake and a Brake kit. Easily the first 1 and 2 things I would do to improve track time.

Show me one intake that gains power over the stock sealed airbox. And by "show" I mean an independent dyno that has power gains greater than the margin of error. Spending $2,000 on 5 (claimed) horsepower < gutting the interior and putting two racing seats for the same money.

He's doing it the right way. Here's a small quote to give what he's doing and saying some credibility:
