No physical location, a blog website, No dyno charts. I'd pass. Seems like another reseller.

They do have a physical location. I'll check them out when I go to Cary for the next C&C, first Saturday of January.

I went to the shop the other day. They are based out of http://importmotorwerks.com . I had them replace and register a new battery for literally half the price of what my BMW Dealer wanted. Nice guys... I just don't know if the cost is worth the gain...

C&C = "cars and coffee"

Personally I'd stick with one of the "known" tunes and there are a lot of them to pick from - BPMSport, ESS, Evolve, AA, Dinan etc...good luck with your search and selection

The claim of 28 hp and 22 lbs torque on a 2011 is more than anyone else claims for a tune. I'd like to see the before and after dynos and an independent dyno.

Unsubstantiated gains... I can claim right now that I can get another 35/30 out of an S65, but no one SHOULD believe me without before/after dynos & evidence that the car isn't gonna break (there's a significant difference between reliable fast & it's a "ticking time bomb" fast).

Look into Benvo/BPMSport, Bren Tuning and Evolve. All 3 have had great success with N/A tuning, lots of reviews on this & the other forum, and have the graphs that support their gains.

you really shouldn't consider anyone else at this point in the game. There are well established vendors who have taken the market share and have proven their tunes work time and time again. Why go with some random one that no one has even heard of?

These guys are not overseas. They are a few miles away from where I live. Their claims are not at the wheels. I asked about this specifically and they said they were estimated at the crank. I haven't decided if I really need any additional tune or power yet. I'm doing the 2 Day M School in a few weeks so when I get back, I'll really decide if it's worth the money for what really results in minimal gain no matter who I use since everything else is still stock.

He's doing a lot of development work on the BMW platform (he has a N54 335 & this video is his personal M3, it's now supercharged). He's specifically been doing some "investigating" with E85, so it'll be interesting to see what that turns up

I have asked but have yet to see a Dynojet dyno. I am not disputing Bren's tuning ability. I just want to see how it compares to the work of others on the level playing field of the much more widely used Dynojet.

E85 or race gas would do wonders for an 12.0:1 CR motor. I think Pencilgeek gained 7% power with race gas without changing the tune to take full advantage of the octane.

When I said "ask", I meant like send him an email/make a phone call + see if he has any Dynojet Dyno graphs. Just to give you a heads up, not even the same version dynos all read the same (there will be some inconsistency from one to the next).

If you want the most accurate measurement, comparing a Stock Baseline against the gains (commonly called "deltas"). Regardless of what dyno you're using, the deltas should be consistent on all dynos.

The 7% gain is probably a true reflection of the car's performance. With pump gas, there's a possibility the DME will retarded timing because of poor octane quality (significantly more common with cars that only have access to 91).

100 Octane or Higher = No Timing Corrections = Optimal Timing = More HP

Obviously, the biggest problem with E85 is until a readily available fuel system upgrade is available, it'll be difficult to run straight E85. IIRC, the low compression kits (ESS or Gintani) both come with aftermarket fuel systems, but I don't think they're sold as separate from the s/c kit.

So many reputable, known tuners out there with proven results. Most have remote capability. No need to try an unknown at this point, imo. Very unlikely that they're getting something safely out of the S65 that the others are not.

You guys sound like a bunch of negative nancies, lol. My buddy Jacob had his E90 M3 done by DRM and that thing hauls, plus he's had it for quite some time now with no issues. I personally don't have mine tuned since I didn't know about them at the time, but why do people have to hate? They are good group of guys who enjoy what they do, ain't nothing wrong with that. Plus, it's not for everyone...that's why there is so many options out there. If you don't know, don't talk...or could just call them they're not overseas hahaha. Their address and phone number is right on the site.

Just my two cents
