Help with battery replacement (problems)

My car has been taking a bit longer to crank now that the cold weather is here. I decided to go ahead and replace the battery because it looked like it is still the original one, which would make it 4 years old.

I need help with a few things:
1) Upon reconnecting everything, I saw this wire. No idea where this goes? It runs with one of the positive terminals.

2) Bav Technic tool
I've spent the last hour looking. To reset battery adaptation, that should be in "Engine" module right? I don't have the Command function for some reason. I've only used the tool once so I don't know if I've never had it. FYI it's an Enthusiast version.

Any help would be appreciated. It's been a hell of a long day, already spent enough time wrestling the battery out, and I just want to get this over with.

No help at all?

Got off the phone with BT. You CANNOT reset battery adaptations on the M3 with BT.

Still need help with the wire please.
