2013 Navigation update

Recived an email this weekend ---- $200 for the 2013 Navigation update? That seems quite rediculous for a DVD. Doesn't seem worth it. Why wouldn't some of us buy together, and share?

Because that's already happening

You can burn your own copy. One of the few good things about still having a DVD based system.

Getting the DVD (for free) won't really get you very far. You need the FSC code to activate the update, and that costs $$$.

I received equivalent email from BMW/TomTom offering to sell me the update for $245.

It's enough that the BMW navigation system is a total FAIL, now we have to pay for the fix???

Nobody should pay for this, it should be free and treated like any recall.

Ok quick question I read the thred on how to update nav I have a 09 e92 m3. Last nav update was back in 2010. I don't use it much but looking to update now but question is my maps are not 3D I turned on the 3D view but still no cool looking building anyone know what's up with that.

Drive around in your downtown area and zoom in at least 800 feet........Phil
