Nice post Roman. I certainly considered moving to the new M5 or waiting for the next generation M3 but in the end opted against it. I just love my car to much. It looks good, sounds good and I feel like a badass every time I hit the start button. The addition of the ESS VT1 has just accentuated all of those feelings for me. It reminds me of taking my wife to the plastic surgeon after the third kid for a little body sculpting. Just made me want to keep her instead of trading in for a newer model.

A properly tuned Supercharged S54 should destroy a stock E9x M3. Not really a fair comparison IMO.

Turbo S54 is another ballgame. A tuner friend of mine makes 450whp on pump gas with 7ish PSI.

What kid does that have because a e46 is 1500kgs and an e92 is 1600 so if it's a high boost kit it could never win

it's says that the e46 has 450hp so it's entry level kit, also the e92 is tuned!

The E46 systems have different "stages" as well

The most basic kits make around 400whp. So of course a DCT, tuned E92 would keep up or win.

However at 8.5-9.5 psi, intercooled kits like JAWS Motorsports and Gintani are making 530rwhp
