Nice post Roman. I certainly considered moving to the new M5 or waiting for the next generation M3 but in the end opted against it. I just love my car to much. It looks good, sounds good and I feel like a badass every time I hit the start button. The addition of the ESS VT1 has just accentuated all of those feelings for me. It reminds me of taking my wife to the plastic surgeon after the third kid for a little body sculpting. Just made me want to keep her instead of trading in for a newer model.

New m3 will be faster and better than charged with a simple tune and the thrust will be even greater.

Should have clarified. It will take a mere software tune for the new m3 to be competitive with the supercharged v8 m3's of today. Plus they will be new.

I love my e92 more than anything and not a fan of turbo's but my point was that its quite amazing that bmw takes it up a notch each new series where it often matches the last series with heavy mods Just impressive. I would love a supercharger but under warranty

A properly tuned Supercharged S54 should destroy a stock E9x M3. Not really a fair comparison IMO.

Turbo S54 is another ballgame. A tuner friend of mine makes 450whp on pump gas with 7ish PSI.

What kid does that have because a e46 is 1500kgs and an e92 is 1600 so if it's a high boost kit it could never win

it's says that the e46 has 450hp so it's entry level kit, also the e92 is tuned!

The E46 systems have different "stages" as well

The most basic kits make around 400whp. So of course a DCT, tuned E92 would keep up or win.

However at 8.5-9.5 psi, intercooled kits like JAWS Motorsports and Gintani are making 530rwhp

Heh, this is cute. You're living in a facade if you think a tune on the new M3 will bring it to 10.6@132mph 1/4 mile performance, let alone from roll ons.

The tunes aren't working great yet on the new M5 but once that's figured out my guess is that it will add a bunch of tq but not much top end hp given the already high boost levels it makes stock.

Come on guys, surely we can do better than this, let the guy enjoy his new found power and leave the what if it went up against a Saturn V rocket stuff for another thread. Anyone who has ever gone FI knows what a thrill it is to light that thing up and taste that new power. A congrats and camaraderie is called for here, not an argument. We have plenty of threads for that.

Congrats and enjoy BTW lol
