Trunk Emblem Removal
So I want to remove the ///M3 trunk emblem and replace with a matte finished emblem. I was told that I had to blow dry it. How long should I blow dry it for to loosen the adhesive? Will it damage my paint?

No need for the blow dryer to get it off. You may need it for any leftover tape that might be left on the car.

Also to get the rest of the glue off 3m adhesive remover is a big help.

I would blow dry it and pry it off with microfiber-towel-covered finger tips. I use a 3M eraser wheel to remove left over adhesive because I don't like using solvents on the paint.

Tip: Mask off edges of the badge with blue masking tape before removing to make reinstalling/lining up the new badge easier.

Honestly once you heat it up it will FEEL as if you can just take it off with your hands, which you can. But use the dental floss because it will be more precise. (and use Goo Gone to remove any excess glue) Wave the blowdryer over the badge for about 20 seconds to get soften the adhesive.
