Challenge Diffuser over Akra tips - Removing tips necessary?

Owners of this combo, any tips to fitting the diffuser w/o having to remove the tips?

I'm trying to test fit the diffuser. But because I'm dropping off my car for service, trying not to go through the exercise of removing tips for a dry fit.

Always best to remove the tips. Just makes things simpler. Tips come off easily.

Always remove the tips. Not only does it prevent any possible damage on the tips/diffuser, tip alignment will be needed after the diffuser is fitted.

Thanks guys. I dropped off my car at the dealer this morning. Was trying to test fit the diffuser before doing so. I didn't want to take off the tips and have to realign just for a dry fit...planning on installing after I pick up the car.
