You do the math for a genuine Lime Rock.

like I said, I don't consider that "almost 100K"

I just built the GTR black edition online and its msrp is $110,605.00 thats a huge difference.

You do the math for a genuine Lime Rock.

OR you can have the following cars easily for what you just paid for a 3 series:

Audi R8
Lamborghini Gallardo
Ferrari F360
Ferrari F430 (higher mileage)

Hmmm do the math now. lol Dont get me wrong I am a modified E92 M3 owner as well but with that type of money I would have opted for a better car.

To each his own but I Personally don't see those cars you listed as "better" cars them a brand new v8 m3.
Yeah they are Cool and I would take them. But a few years old and with mileage compared to a brand new car. Nah.

Geeze...what's up with the naysayers anyway? Tough crowd.

I read the LRP edition cars can be had for around $70K "even $80K that's not $100K"; can buy an AMG Black; A GTR Black; People don't pay what you think they pay; Would have opted for a better car blah, blah, blah

I posted photos for others & I enjoy re-looking at them. Yes, you could build the car from the factory, but it wouldn't say Lime Rock on the Monroney. There are only 200 of the real deal. Important...only to me & the 4 people who tried to buy this car after it was sold huh? BMW must be doing something right. Hey the paint, exhaust ,carbon stuff & steering wheel that's part of the package approaches if not exceeds w/install the $10K cost.

Additionally, I believe the 6 or so LRP's that came to the Pacific NW are all sold.

If you can - go out and buy a few for $500 over- at some point you'll be glad you did I think. In the meantime I'm watching what others are doing with their project cars for ideas.

Regardless, these (this) M3's are worth every penny to me.

Thanks!

Nice! What city? The only time I've seen a gather is for the Griot's Garage ///M Day and BMWCCA Annual Concours.

Welcome to the board. Can't wait to see your car one day.

Very Cool! I saw this edition at the local dealer. I love that steering wheel they come with. I saw on EBAY they have the alcantara steering wheel trim piece available. A question I have is the number plaque says one of 200. Why doesn't it say 87 of 200 or 142 of 200 for example?

Keep the shiny side up!

I was a somewhat surprised by the generic "one of 200" plaque v individual too.

The explanation from BMW corporate was that they didn't want aftermarket resale value to be dependent on a specific number - hence "one of 200".

My former "Zanardi" lightweight NSX was one of 50 cars in 1999 - a plaque between the seats was individually engraved & numbered -#17 was mine. (Quality Zanardi's today command
about a 20%- 30% premium over same year NSX's - now one of the most sought after models)

Op, congrats. I would have bought the car if not for it being my DD. I love the orange and all the added coolness.

Enjoy your ride, don't over mod the exterior. Looks awesome the way it is.
