2009 m3 supercharged with 30k miles?
I currently have an 335i and was wanting to go to a m3. With a supercharger. I know those super Chargers alone cost for about $15,000 I found this one car that sells a 2009 M3 with 30,000 miles with a supercharger for 42,000 you guys think that's too low since everybody else on online has some sold for 55,000 asked the dealer He said car has a clean title but should I be suspicious what you guys think thanks

Superchargers run $8k to $15k. M3 could have no options and have cost $55k new or could have all options and have cost $70k new. You would want more information to make an informed decision about the potential purchase.

Also remember that aftermarket parts usually does not add value to a car. Yes you can get more money for a car which has been supercharged but I would say that the deprecation is even faster on one of these items. Don't feel you have to pay 10k over a comparable m3 because it has a supercharger.

I'm assuming you found a 2009 with 30k miles for $42k. The part about $55k I'm not sure about. Two months ago I paid $57k for a fully loaded 2011 with 6k miles and a colleague paid $42.5k for a loaded 2009 with 20k miles. So, that sounds like a decent starting price assuming the car is optioned out and pristine. To go back to your question, I highly doubt anyone that put a supercharger on their car and sold it at 30k miles drove it lightly. Sure the title is clear but how much abuse has that car taken already? Assuming it was built in 2008, you're out of warranty. I'll put it another way, I drive the hell out of cars and I would never want a car that was previously owned by someone like me. Find a clean 2009 that someone babied and go from there. |

Sorry for the bad grammar I was using Siri this time im going to type it out. The car itself has all the options navigation automatic and it's supposed to have 30,000 miles and a supercharger. But when I look around everybody that has supercharger sells the car for about 55 so I'm just wondering there's got to be something that the guys not telling me. I might just go stock and not worry about it since with the superchargers there might be some problems down the road.
Thank for the replies |

I wouldn't buy a used M3 with a supercharger. I would want to install it on my watch, and I'm the guy driving it after install. Like others have said, you don't know what kind of wear and tear you are getting into....let's keep it real, you know how we are
I would be afraid of big expenses coming your way...huge gamble. Besides price is dependent on so many variables....and then layer on your local market demand for pre-owned m3s, and etc.
