E90 M3 Damaged while at BMW..

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Well I took my car to BMW to get the heat/ac blower fixed. My car was there for 1 week. I finally pick it up and my passenger front fender is cracked, along with my Challange CF front lip. After looking more i noticed the bumper is pushed up and there is no gap between bumper and hood. Not sure if I should be pissed off or just let it go. Anyway they are paying for my car to be fixed and are replacing my Challange CF lip. This is actually my 3rd lip. So should I go ahead and order my 4th Challange lip or go with another brand? I love my challange lip but it does sit a little low for NY roads. Can anyone recommend possible a new lip on the market? Need to order it soon so please let me know what you guys all think. Thank you. Here are some pics.

Well they're covering it and didn't make an issue to do otherwise it seems. So don't worry about it and I don't think challenge lips are made anymore so might have to go a different route. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I vote ModeCarbon GTS Spoiler. I think it's 900 or 1000, and it looks epic. I have a Hamann lip on right now and it's okay, I bought a used arkym lip and refinished it so will be replacing the Hamann soon.

Glad to see the dealer is replacing it for you

definitely would be irate it happened, but they are doing what they need to do to fix it. I think it's crazy though that you had to find it and they didn't simply admit to you what had happened.

I vote your replacement for practicality is a Revinora GT Street Lip. You could get the CF version for 700, but I'd opt for FRP version for 433 that's more durable and matte. If you scratch it or rock flys into it, you won't be pissed. I like the GTS lip from Mode, but shit man that's going to scrape, and get scuffed up if you drive your car on bad NY roads.

The Revinora R-CRT Street Chin has intrigued me but I haven't bought one yet so I don't personally know how good it looks but it's made specifically to not be a low rider and is the same height as the OEM bumper

So you have cracked 3 lips already? maybe its time to give em up..this car sits so low..why not go with splitters instead?

Yeah that sucks, but they owned up and are paying to have everything fixed so i would worry about it too much. Accidents happen.
It would be a different story if they tried to hide it.
Good luck, and I vote ModeCarbon front lip.

while I like the Mode Carbon lip I can't stomach the price considering its the same GTS lip on ebay that is much cheaper. Esp considering these things take a beating, and I would be extremly surprised to hear that Mode Carbon is making them themselves versus them being the same Chinese copies but I think I will try one from Mode as I hear good things, we'll see

It looks as if whoever took it out for a spin was oblivious enough to scrap it against the ground.

The Spoilers that you see pictured on Ebay are replicas of our Mode Carbon Gts Spoiler Design. Our lip is unique and manufactured here in America. Our Gts Spoiler debuted in April of 2012 and at that time we were the sole providers for our product.

We guarantee quality and fitment, something that the Chinese companies may neglect or give you a problem with. Our products are 100% Carbon Fiber and we manufacture using an advantageous dry-layup vacuum infusion process. This allows for less resin to be used in between the carbon fibers, creating a dramatic weight advantage.

Please refer to this thread for reviews with Mode Carbon Vendor Feedback

We are conveniently based out of two major domestic cities; Miami, FL and New York, NY which give our clients the opportunity to meet/deal with us on a personal level. Shipping will also be dramatically more expensive and time consuming with these Chinese vendors.

Lastly, this is a photo submitted by our friends over at Rebellion Automotive, our Exclusive UK Dealer (Owner of Wortec Brakes). Pictured to the left is our Mode Carbon C63 Rear Diffuser and pictured to the right is a diffuser received from an Ebay "carbon fiber" vendor.

Please refer here for more information.

We hope you now understand why we charge a premium for our products here at Mode Carbon. With our price will come fitment, quality, refinement and beauty. Not only will the product speak for itself, but I will personally be there guiding and helping you through every part of our Carbon Fiber experience.

Thanks
-Sam
