Question Took out the Passenger seat....

Myself and a friend installed the Alekshop Rear Cameras on each of our cars my E92 and E93. On my car I opted to take out the passenger seat to give me a better look under the dash and more room to work. We started the car with the seat removed (This is where I think the issue started) to check and make sure everything was functional. Warning came up on the idrive about the seat as I expected, we get the seat back in and now the alert won't extinguish itself. The connectors have been double checked and everything is fine on that end, is this something that will clear itself or will I have to take it to the dealer? I've started the car a half dozen times since then and it's still coming on....

Airbag light? There's an occupancy sensor and the seat belt pre-tensioner that are part of the SRS system.

You might have thrown other codes in different modules as well. If you have a BMW specific scanner, you can check those codes.

you shouldn't have touched the key with the seat out. the code (SRS) is for the seat and will not go away on its' own and will have to be reset

Thanks for the help, that's what I figured was the issue. Had a bad feeling after I started it with the seat out, just didn't want to put the interior back together without verifying the camera worked : /

I have to get the brake fluid and oil done this week so I'll have them sort that out when I go in this week.

Had to have it reset, I believe EAS sells a passenger seat emulation plug in so with that you should be able to take the seat out without having to go to the dealer. Only other option I know of is I think you can also have it coded as well?
