Check Engine Light Question
Dumb question, but I am going to ask anyway. My check engine light came on this morning. I stopped and restarted the engine and it went away, but I was wondering if the code/reason the light came on was stored in the on board computer.
If I take it to the dealer, can they diagnose even though the light no longer comes on? |

If it's gone and doesn't come back, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmm...car is going in on Friday, but any guesses? Car starts fine in morning, check engine light turns on. I stop and restart the engine. The light goes off and stays off for rest of day.
In the morning, the light comes on after the first start of the day. I repeat the process above and the light again stays off the remainder of the day. |
