How exactly is this overpriced? why dont you ask your dealer how much it would cost you to get a frozen individual color, just for fun?

Fast forward 10 years, with the limited production numbers this will be a *hot* item on the used market. It will fetch $$$ where your nice mineral white will be $20k if we're lucky. Thats what is special about this edition, and the fact that you will probably never see another one on the road very soon.
You have a good point, but the counter point is, no one should be paying sticker for a regular M3. You can get them for $600 over invoice or even less if you're a repeat customer since there's a $1,000 credit available there.
You'd be lucky to get any Edition cars for MSRP since most dealers will have a "market adjustment" tacked onto the price.

Looks nice but probably not worth the trouble of maintaining it.

I would be interested in a standard E92 M3 but with the matte black 359M wheels, the black kidney grilles, the black side gills, and the M performance exhaust all fitted at the factory. Anyone know if that’s possible through BMW Individual?

Like changing the wrapper on an In-N-Out burger. Same burger with a new different wrapping on the outside.

Is this similar to the color I saw this year at the NY Auto show? I thought it was a Matte Blue M3, but could have been frozen blue. If so, this has been in the works since April..

It'll advertise a revolutionary new car, but when you commit you not only get the worst economy in decades, you get overcharged $6,000,000,000,000. When you ask why the car is a failure, they'll tell you it's Porsche's fault.

I think im going to wait for the M3 coupe deville-brougham-delagance-SS-pokadot bikini edition. I heard that it comes with pure "corinthian leather".

I've wondered the same thing...but I believe someone said BMW Individual offered this package to them at a cost higher than buying the individual parts needed.

I thought special editions were called Individual, which you could always get. Plus 150 total whatever, wonder how many individual orders have been made I'm sure 150+.

Whats about an "early" F80M3 Limited Frozen Edition produced from 03/2013 Geneva til the I6 M3/M4 arrives?

- complete F80M3 lightweight(?) body and chassis
- complete drivetrain from the E9xM3 - S65B40A / M-DCT / man.LSD
- with CRT Lightweight seats
- with M5/M6 Carbon-Ceramic-Brakes
- with Akrapovic Titan exhaust system
- 5 Frozen colors with interieur and stitching like the other Edition-Cars
- Black/Red/Yellow for germany and Blue/White for BMW
- 250 cars ... strictly 50 cars per color
- price 100k€

I am sure many people would be very happy with such an M3-Edition more than with another E92M3 Edition.

Don't think I would go for the color.
But, I would think about the interior trim.

BMW keeps pulling this kind of "stuff" because they know that there are at least 150 people out there willing to pay this price to be different. Don't hate the game hate the player.
