Welcome, neighbor! That is one sick Si! Just know when you get your first taste of your own BMW, (unless you HAVE to) you will never go back to a regular vehicle ever again. I’ve been driving my E90 328i for almost 2 years now. I love it! Recently my buddy let me drive his E92 ///M DCT, and I’ve been looking to upgrade ever since! Looking forward to seeing what you do with your E92! Post photos ASAP and congratulations!

EDIT: Didn't realize you had already acquired the E92 and with photos. Congratulations again!

Thanks again everyone, this car is amazing and I'm looking forward to owning it for a long time.

On another note, I posted my change of cars on my old Honda forum, 8thgen.com, and I'm already getting hated on. So glad I'm no longer in that scene

Garage List
2008 BMW E92 M3  [5.00]
I was originally a Hondaphile as well. Previously owned a '00 GSR with minor upgrades (JDM ITR 4-1 header, tanabe exhaust, high flow cat, Spoon intake). It was sad when a tow truck ran a red and totaled my car.

Anyway, after that I picked up a 5 speed E46 325i and fell in love with RWD. BMW's pedals are so nicely arranged, making it very easy to heel toe (or big two little toe in BMW's case). The steering feedback and handling was more enjoyable compared to the Integra.

This past weekend I picked up my CPO '08 E92 M3 (6 speed of course) with the gorgeous carbon fiber roof and M dynamic mode. I can go forever about this car, but all I can say is that it is amazing. I see the low mpg as a little premium for the sheer driving pleasure it gives. You'll love it-

EDIT: See that you got the car already

Haters will hate bro. Learn to bask in it. Killer punchline for the more vocal Haters: "It would be rude of you not to be jealous". Make sure you smile =)

Congrats - nice new ride. I love Hondas as well. The m3 will be like the Honda but with torque and still a 8000+ redline.

So the drama starts because I said there is no comparison between the M3 and the Si, to which some members said "duh its a sports car and the civic is an econobox" and I replied something along the lines that there is civic owners who think they drive a sports car, but they dont know any better cause its the only thing they have ever driven. and then things just went down hill from there.

If youre easily offended I wouldnt read the thread, there is alot of bmw and M3 bashing. things have settled down though

I'm sorry I couldn't help but laugh reading some of the posts in that thread. I too was in the Civic scene. At first I thought it was all that until a few friends of mine took me to an autocross. And watching them rip through that track changed my life forever!

Here's the difference: Folks buy Hondas to either, A. Save money on gas or, B. Go fast in a very straight line. Then there are folks who think their Hondas could compared side by side in an autocross. Unfortunately for them, no matter how much they mod their Hondas or how fine they tune them... It will never come close in comparison with a stock BMW. In my opinion the overall performance BMW provides are unmatched.

You could build a BMW to go dumb 55 fast in a drag... But why? It doesn't take a 16 year old with a permit to drive hella fast in a straight line. It doesn't require much skill. Lol just a fast car... Where is the fun in that?

Let the Civic Nation think you're booshie now that you own a BMW. They're just upset they don't have any class. Don't waste anymore of your time and leave them be in their swaggerific rockets.

You'll learn that the BMW community has more friendly faces than Douche bags. We have a few of those but not as many as everyone assumes. Enjoy!
