It might bee a little dangerous to run the car on to much E85 since the fuelsystem is almoust maxed out with the VT 650 kit.
But i guess there are some ponies to find with the E85, the 335 guys haeve found some
Yes launch control was used , Pm Scott "1sickM" on how to use it , it would be best if u were in the car while explaining on how to use it ...
PM sent on fuel mixture

Does Sal@ACM have some big reductions that makes him not qualify for fastest trap speed?
Yes cold weather and decent DA ! Our cars will trap 130-135mph in 50f or less and negative DA .

LC is very easy to use.
#1 - have sticky tires. DR's or anything else with R compound

#2 - DSC off, Power Mode Sport Plus, Trans S6, EDC soft (although i have found hard works better once you have experience). Car must be in manual mode.

#3 - while in 1st gear and foot off the gas pedal and brake, hold the joystick forward. After a couple seconds the checkered flag will illuminate on the dash. You are now in the LC sequence.

#4 - floor the gas pedal while still holding the joystick forward. RPMS will go to 5500.

#5 - release joystick and hold on! As long as you keep the pedal floored it will shift automatically at 8300 for gears 1,2,3,4.

Tip#1 - If you begin to roll forward and tap the brake you will come out of the LC sequence and you need to start again.

Tip#2 - Once you hit the gas pedal, the motor reving at 5500 will eventually cause the car to roll slowly forward which takes you out of the LC sequence so you need to floor it and release the joystick quickly. The trick with staging is don't mash the pedal until the second amber light comes on. At the third amber, release the joystick. If you wait until green, guys like me will beat you off the line every time

Tip#3 - BMW states you can control the rpm launch using the cruise control stick. Its automatically set at 5500. IMO, anything less will hurt your time and I've never been able to adjust mine and Zim couldn't on his car either.

Tip#4 - Linelock is needed to properly heat the tires without putting stress on the tranny. You can't brake torque this transmission.

Tip#5 - for those who feel LC will break the car, our transmission can tolerate 650whp. Does it wear down the clutches faster, yes. Do you risk breaking something over time, yes. For those at the strip not using LC they are mashing the pedal in 1st which causes a violent clutch drop in 1st gear. Thats much worse on your car. I have over 200 launches on my car and have felt no affects on my clutch. LC doesn't drop the clutch, it slips the clutch similar to a manual car. You can hear it in the vids. Regardless, clutches aren't expensive. If your worried about the cost then you probably can't afford the car your driving.

Hope this helps

Wow, that's a ton of hard core runs. Thanks for sharing the results so comprehensively - very impressive throughout! I'm really interested in hearing your thoughts on the E85 mixture though.

If nothing else, this gives me a lot of confidence in my tranny holding up as I'm not nearly as hard on mine as you guys.

1SICKM - Thanks for sharing your LC tips. Super helpful.

I think someone with more knowledge should chime in.
What's even more impressive is these results were achieved with a kit that's been on 3 M's and has accumulated over 100+k miles .... Not bad huh

Great information!

Haha...I've had my DCT for 3 years now and I never knew that it would automatically shift gears in LC despite being in Manual Mode.

COOL!!

Tom, we should put together a Famoso Private Rental this Fall / Winter with Mo, the last couple events he set up were a lot of fun, and Famoso does see some good DA starting in November.

I agree. 55 launches in one day and it held up. Tell the original GTR owners this and they'll be jealous because their cars would be in the shop with no warranty after that kind of beating.
