European worker productivity is nothing to sneeze at. However, it is a telling thing about America that we are more impressed by productivity than the extra vacation and better lifestyle (with cheaper, better healthcare) you get in Europe.

On my deathbed, I hope to say "I wish I had more time to live life, but damn I was productive!"

Oh wait, no one would ever say that.
