i am stuck between 2 connecting pipe setups to be paired with my exhaust.
for those without any heat shields on your connecting pipe, how are your rubber cv boots holding up? you guys know how much it would cost to replace the cv boots? i have a small case of ocd you can say when it comes to these things ![]() setup 1: use oem connecting pipes and jet hot them. used mufflers go for $100 + $180 jet hot = $280. jet hotting the connecting pipes not only reduces heat but also provides excellent corrosion and rust resistance as well so it doesn't discolor like oem pipes do. setup 2: buy aftermarket connecting pipes $450 + $180 jet hot = $630 setup 3: buy aftermarket connecting pipes $450 + thermal heat shield $60 + clamps $18 = $528 don't know what to do... thoughts?
