Why So Many KW Kits for Sale?

Just looking at the private For Sale section, there's seems to be a ton of KW V3, sleeve-over, Clubsport kits for sale. Especially when so many of them are low mileage.

What is it about these kits that seem to be undesirable when owners put them on?

I've rode shotgun in a few SO kits, but never driven one. When compared to my Dinan stage 1 with cambers, I do feel that the KWs are not as 'tight". I don't mean stiff, as I think the the KWs actually have higher spring rate. Difficult to describe but it just doesn't feel as locked down, or as "factory" as you will.

Any thoughts?

Perhaps the base number (total number of KW kits sold) is much higher than the other suspension brands? And therefore a greater number of kits are available for resale on the used market?

I never see sleeve over kits and when I do they sell fast. I see V3s all the time.

These guys are almost always selling their car and parting out. Some just go back to stock for whatever reason. Probably because they will look to trade in the car for something new in 6 mo to a year.

The car is getting old, owners are parting out and KW is the most popular suspension kit for BMWs. These early adopters are moving on to other cars.
That said, how often do you see non-KW suspension kit ever being sold? its pretty rare.

I think it's due to the fact that KW's are the most popular for our cars. Many people who get spring-over kits sell them to upgrade to CO's. Many people with V3's sell to upgrade to Club-Sports. I can tell you that I have been very satisfied with mine.

I agree that KW is simply more popular. The SO and V3 kits for sale are likely because they are upgrading to V3 or CS respectively. The CS for sale may be upgrades to something more track oriented.
