Rust Resistance?

Curious to see how the M3 is holding up for those of you that drive it in the snow / salt. Have you noticed any unusual rust on the underside of the car? My understanding is that BMW's have pretty good rust protection.

Considering it has plastic fenders, aluminum hood and trunk.

I don't believe the doors are, right? If so then the only body panels that will rust is the doors and rear fenders. Maybe also underneath the side skirts.

Yeah, I hear ya. I guess I was more interested in the corrosion to the components you can't see under the car / hood instead of the body panels.

That would only happen if the paint gets chipped, or you catch a shunt and don't repair it. I don't think rust is a serious concern with these cars and certainly not after only 7 years.
