Active Autowerke| E90 M3 Supercharged C38 92 trim test Results (video, Dyno)
We did some testing on customer's lower compression E90 M3 using our Rotrex c38 92 trim blower. For the size of the blower it did very well with an excellent hp and tq curve and is a absolute beast in the street.
This Car features our Active Autowerke Supercharger kit with meth and Active Autowerke catless Exhaust system! I have also included a mustang dyno I did right before driving it over to 3rd party dynojet for you guys. On to the next blower ![]() Please Note!: All dynojet runs are in SAE With 0 Smoothing - Rpm 8300 limiter Run 1: ![]() Run3: I put the fan on the filter since the fans weren't all that great at this shop and look at the results! ![]() Mustang Dyno Run within hours of the dyno jet run. ![]()

The C38-91 has potential. That is a nice torque curve for the horsepower level. The result after putting the fans on the filter was impressive. Out of curiosity, what was the boost?

Great runs
![]() I was wondering if you guys have a dyno comparing GTS8550 vs GTS8555. Basically what is the expected gain from the swap, I know it will not be a night and day difference and power gain through out the entire rpm since only the max flow ability was tweaked by HKS from 26 M^3/min to 28. I am trying to see if it is worth the gains for me. |

I'm all about raising the Bar and a good product but I don't get it , 560+ whp on a extensive build like this one ....
![]() I put down more with stock compression and with less boost. Why would anyone go to great extent for just 4 560whp ? But congrats on cracking a new record high on whp ![]() |

It is amazing how easily a dyno can be manipulated which is why I wanted to show you guys this.

![]() I Know dynojets can't be manipulated then again anythings possible ..... Nevermind I get it your talking about the fan at the filter ! Sneaky .... |

But it doesn't do anything when boosted and your looking for the best figure out of your kit !
Water on the IC is manipulating considering your don't driving hard in the rain ... Or are you ![]() Air at the filter it was you would get while driving but I see your point |

+1
A low compression motor with 10psi should be easily upwards of 600whp - not for nothing but those numbers are disappointing for what the car has done. Is this the custom stage 4 shop car that you claimed would beat up on any other M3? |

A fan blowing directly on the filter will skew the results of this test by a good margin as you can see.. On the street will it get forced more air and make this power? Its very possible!

Very nice.
Your intercooler must have a very low pressure drop to hit that boost. Power curve almost identical in shape to our kit with the C38-91. A very very capable little monster. It's great to see companies trying different blowers with their individual IC and plenum setups. Thanks for sharing. |

On the road the air is also most definitely less polluted (assuming your not driving behind some dirty derv truck) and it's proper ambient temperature. Dyno cells tend to be higher than ambient and exhaust gas recirculation really takes effect which doesn't help. |

Nice build Andrew! That is one incredibly clean graph, especially with Smoothing 0! I like the torque curve.
![]() So is it safe to say that these numbers are in no way final and that you plan on using a bigger blower to take advantage of the engine build?

This car is a great test bed to find the maximum flow of each blower though. Information= knowledge

Hey Andrew,
Just out of curiosity, would running a 100mm pulley(for example) on the 8555 allow for more engine RPM redline? I see the 8550 and 8555 both max at 100,000 rpm but the 8555 flows better up there. How would this affect low to mid performance?
