sounds like the M3 is the car for you. I prefer the 911 for most of the uses you mention, but those backseats will be just hateful (I own both cars btw)
E92 M3 is the one for u. Plenty of room for the puppies and awesome on the track!

E 92

E92 since the back seats are very spacious and the button on the front seats to move them is easy to access. I have done the same but beware that rear facing baby seats take quite some room for your new baby.

I have two kids as well, and we fit in comfort in my E92, my wife with the little one in the back, myself with the older one in front, and the baby troller fit nicely in the trunk.

I couldn't believe how spacious is the E92.

My older one is old enough to legally sit in the front seat, just saying...

A con for the C63 is the head bolts blowing up; at least on older models. MB changed the part number for the bolts.

911 is way too small in back. You'll never get a rear facing seat back there. Even in the E9x, a rear facing seat will be TIGHT up front.

I considered what people close to me in my car buying decision and it always has cost me more money in the long run. No matter what I suggest or the next guy or your spouse or kids does. It all comes down to what will make you happy. After all you're the one in the driver seat.

Of all the 911s I owned the 996 was (relatively) less enjoyable to drive - if you go for a 911 the 997 is a better drivers choice.
However the 911 really isn't practical with 2 children especially when 1 is a new born...so you could pretty much never go out as a family in it.
The E90 M3 is as least (if not more) fun to drive (I've owned/driven both) and is far more practical - but its not a Porsche.

For the family man that wants to hit the track the E90 M3 is the clear choice.

E90. PCar will start to get old quickly and become expensive to fix. The MB will bore you after a few mos as it just wont drive nearly as well as either the BMW or Porsche. The M3 is an amazing car that will put a smile on your face every time you drive it.

The back seat of the coupe IMO is slightly roomier than the sedan, but you don't have the comfort of having 4 doors. I'd go with E90....

C63 is the most fun on the street. It is amazing on the track... contrary to what other members say here. -They probably havent driven a C63 on the track and are just going by what journalists say. Its totally up to you but I would stay away from the porsche. My father had a 944 with the baby seat for me (radar detector hidden with in lol) but got rid of it once my brother came along. The car was just too cramped. M3 coupe is the nicest looking IMO and goes like heck too! You cant go wrong with any of these cars!

Send a message via Yahoo to Sean05
if you go back to your cars description it practically narrows it down to the M3...

Which Carrera are you considering? I went from a 1M to an M3 via a 997, 997 CS, and a 991. Of all the Porsches, only the 997 CS compares to the M3. If you get DCT, the BMW tranny is much better than PDK. Manual trannies are about on par. Cost of ownership for a used car, BMW wins.

Also, you may want to consider which car is SAFER for your kids...

2010 BMW M3 E90  [0.00]
what i did...

i had a 996tt that was great, but wasn't the most practical commuter car.

i traded it in for an e90m3, and am having more fun - with and without kids in the back.

The Porsche is amazing, but not practical for your use. You'll have issues putting the kids in the back with baby seats.

C63 is amazing fun on the street. Really fast with a lot of torque and power. A true luxurious drag car. I don't know about the track, but as far as I know the traction and handling is an issue.

E90/92 M3 is the perfect in-between car. Big trunk, back seats, performance and handling.

This is coming from a Porsche fan

I own both E90 M3 and E92 M3, and both are very spacious.
Love the cars, I used to go to the track every weekend (Sundays and Mondays)
Now, I'm not married and I don't have kids.
But IF you really don't have to take your children that often, go with the 911 Carrera S..
You will love the car..
and between M3 and C63, take the M3.
