Fortunately I have yet to curb a wheel on my M3. However, the previous owner was nice enough to do it for me

i am so meticulous with my car and i got curb rash on one of my rims. i still to this day can't believe i let that happen. was at a stop sign in a shopping center and took a right and the damn curb was way to high or close w/e you want to call it and it gave me a little rash. it's inevitable even for the careful drivers.

I have had 4 separate wheels curbed by car wash tracks (with the attendant driving of course). I will never bring a car with low profile tires to a car wash with tracks again.... I can't think of a time that I have personally curbed a wheel. It will probably happen today because I said that.

I personally blame it on Kaiser ignoring my 35 degree strabismus when I was a child. Lack of depth perception can be accomodated for longer distances (ie. I can hit a curve ball if I can time the arm), but not closer distances where you are left trying to determine inches from several feet away.
