Thanks.. I was going to get an x-pipe but I think it will be a little too much for me.

That is almost obnoxiously loud and slightly raspy too.... for my tastes anyway.

Xpipe would be crazy!

Stainless or titanium version? It sounds louder than my titanium with stock xpipe and stock cats, but you're running test pipes.

Just stainless.. Once I installed the test pipes it really made a difference in sound.

When I get my E92, pretty sure this is the exhaust i'll be getting with an xpipe and test pipes. Is it unbearably loud though? It's hard to tell through a video lol.

I would try out my setup first.. My ears do ring with the windows down if I'm driving a little aggressive sometimes. I love loud but if I added an x-pipe my ears would probably ring every time I was done driving it. But hey if you don't care about that I'd say go for it lol.

It can't be THAT loud. I run test pipes and straight through muffler (ACM Mod) and it's not unbearable, inside the cabin at least. I'd imagine the GT2 has a different (probably more exotic) sounding tone than just a straight through muffler but don't think it would be as loud. Especially considering the GT2 has mufflers.

OR maybe I'm just deaf.

Really? I read somewhere that even though meisterschaft has mufflers, it actually amplifies rather than muffle the sound of the exhaust so it's louder than having no muffler.

If that's the case then I retract my previous statement.

I actually test drove an m3 with test pipes x pipe and acm exhaust mod and all I can say is it's very loud but just a different tone. It's really hard to explain exhaust sounds in words you just have to hear them in person

The GT2 with high flow cats AA X-pipe was unbearably loud to me and the uniqueness of the GT2 went away and changed to a chaotic sound. The GT2 sounds the best with stock xpipe and full cats IMO.

This exhaust would be fun if I only drove my car for fun. I can't even handle my silly MPE exhaust drone at 3600 rpm at 85 mph 7th gear. Every time I am driving my car hard though I want to hear obnoxious sound.

I've got a stainless GT2 with stock xpipe and cats intact and it is LOUD. My cold start idle is borderline obnoxious but fortunately I have car crazy neighbours.

I need to find a solution that keeps deep tone and doesn't have rasp. Even with the GT2 in the quietest car in my group, but I don't want to ruin the note just to compete with them.

Your goal is to be as loud as possible so you can "compete" with your group?

You're in the wrong car for that bud.

No if I wanted to be as loud as possible I would have gone with a straight piped mustang lol.

I need it to be louder but still sound as nice as the GT2 does on the M3.
