Garage List
2013 e92 M3  [4.93]
2011 997.2 Turbo S  [4.75]
2013 WRX STi  [4.00]
2013 BMW X5  [0.00]
Stg 2 is fairly stout. But there is a large diff between Stg 2 and Stg 3. Stg 3 is capable of 900 HP.

I put 6-8 cars on a HPF Stg 2 M3. Lost to a Stg 3 by 2-3 cars.

Except unlike this stupid race on a public road, I ran on private Airstrip.

Setting aside the poor editing of this video, and its odd choice to record from the rear where we can't see the race at all - the bigger problem is exactly as longboarder identified above. This kind of high speed drag racing on the street is totally wreckless.

We both had street tires.

Before the run he mentioned that he was having traction problems on the initial hit from the right lane so I gave him the left lane. I didn't spin on the initial hit but he did a little.

I don't know if he had meth. I didn't.

Im sure the e46 had some serious traction issues on street tires. Their power comes on much harder than the s65 sc kits. Just look at it sliding out with wide drag radials.

Yes true.

Maybe that's the default setup but it can all be controlled by proper tuning with an electronically controlled wastegate.

Power doesn't have to come on so hard if boost is calibrated appropriately. Initial spool/boost onset can be lowered to somewhere say around 10psi at 3,500 RPM with it increasing to peak boost around 6,000 RPM and tapering to redline.

This can be done with more sophisticated piggys like the Vishnu Procede that provide features such as customized boost mapping.

Cheers.
