Load bearing on 255/35/19 (93Y) vs 255/30/19 (91Y)

I just spent about 30 mins on the phone w/one of my local Discount Tires. They said that their computer system won't allow them to order a tire with a lower load bearing rating than what the system has listed for the car. The 255/30/19 has a lower rating than the 255/35/19, and the system will not let them order it. I know there are others running this exact tires size w/no issue. Kinda sucks b/c I have a D. Tire CC that I won't be able to use for this purchase, as I'm going to have to Tire Rack these, it would appear.

That sucks, the 30 profile is definitely the way to go. My 265/35/19 fronts rubbed and 265/30/19 is perfect.

Can you order from discounttiredirect.com, then take the tire to the store for mount/balance?

That's what I do. Free shipping, no sales tax, and still free mounting.

Tried that, but since 255/30/19 is a special order, "A sales person from the select store will contact you." *smh*

Get a different sales rep on the phone and conveniently tell them you have some other car that does allow them to order the 255/30. Or update the car you have on your online account if they have that option.

Tell them they don't need to know what car it's for. They either want to sell you the tires or they don't.
