Can this be touch-up painted?

hello all,
Had this done at the dealer last week, while it was there to repair a rim scratch that they did in the first place. Noticed this the next morning after i just washed the car.

I am suspecting some kind of deliberate act or sabotage for this to happen back to back..
first scratched rim - ok shit happens
but the following week this?

anyways, here are the pics. seems to me someone tried to wipe their shoes on the door panel, or dropped something on it on purpose or not..
anyone has the same paint chips scratched at the that general location?

-i hate to paint the side skirts. Can these be touch painted? Or I should just leave it as is and live with it? just got the car in May brand new. i am in touch with the service manager for a resolution. thanks

Sure it can, I would check it out at a good body shop and let them do it. Don't do it yourself pay a few dollars for it you feel better once it is done.

Good luck.

PS, Inquire at a few BMW dealerships and ask them "Where do you folks have your body touch up work done?" Trust me when I say most new cars end up with some sort of imperfection at the dealership after the long trip to North America, the dealerships have it fixed they just don't tell us about it.

In German we have a saying "Was ich nicht weiß macht mich nicht heiß" Translation ---> What I don't know does not worry me"

Thanks for the paint tips. By sabatoge I mean someone at dealer perhaps did this on purpose. It looks like a boot was stepped or wiped on it

Yeah that's not bad at all. I think after they touch up and polish that you would barely see it. BMW sells the paint at the parts counter, and it comes with a little brush and clear coat to put on top. I would pick up one of those kits and then take it to your shop and have them do the magic.

It will all depend on how picky you will be. Touch-up will never be unnoticeable but if you take your time can be done well enough that it's no longer an eye sore.

+1

For the minor rock chips I have had to use the touch up paint for, it has done an OK job. Of course I can still pick out where I used the paint but 99% of other people won't notice at all. One of those "I know it's there and it bugs me" type things that other people just don't pick up on.

If you get a body shop to do it you might not even notice it yourself. Good luck!
