Question on warranty of oem parts.

Hi, I bought a set of LCI tailights from a online BMW Part Store about 3 month ago.
But one of the tailights is not working properly now.
The guy from the site told me that I have a 2 year factory warranty for the tailights. He also said that I can just bring the broken on to the dealer and then they will replace it for me.
Just wondering if this is true?
Have anyone experience such issue before?
Thanks you!

It's been a while but last I check if you buy a BMW part it's under warranty for 1 year.

If a dealer didnt installed the light then they might try to blame it on that, other wise the dealer should cover the part under warranty.

When we buy parts from BMW.. I know they have warranty.. Just can't recall the exact length of it.

But since this is electrical they may want to know who installed them..

Parts warranty is for 2 years; labor/install only covered if such part was installed by dealer.

Electrical parts are tricky to cover as most of the time they go bad due to self-install error.

In addition to what was said above, you will need to take the car in along with the headlights to have the service department check the car to verify the function of the lights. They will charge you for this service if the lights are functioning properly.
