What are the specific improvements over the V4? And can we see a side by side comparison?

We are working to get an accurate side by side comparison picture done but since it gets dark so early now it might be a few days.

Overall the V5's are significantly brighter. The V4's were rated at 850 lumen per side while the LUX H8 V5's are rated at 1200 Lumen per side so it is a large increase in overall brightness

That's great. I like my V4's but brighter is better! So are they also a closer color temperature to OEM with more of a white/purple hue?

They are still the same color temperatures just overall brighter. You don't want them a Purple hue at all because that would be unnatural looking ( believe me we tested it already and it looked very strange)

Received my v5 and installed them. They were pretty easy to install. This is my first lux purchase so I cant comment on the comparison to the older versions. I do have a question about the brightness. The outer ring is not as bright as the inside ring. Can the orientation of the bulb change the brightness of the outside ring?

due to the design of the angel eyes the outer ring will never be as bright as the inner ones. post pics if you can.

also why was lux banned?

The V5's also have the same 100% brightness all the time so they will not support the fade off feature
