Is this possible?

Called the 1-800 number, and status on my car is "your car is in the paint shop with an estimated completion date of July 31st".

Today is the 31st. Can they really paint the car, assemble it, and do a final quality check all today?

Or are they just teasing me?

Right, that's my point. So if it's just in paint now, is it still possible to complete production today? Based on what my sales guy sent me, after paint is assembly, then final quality check

No way.... They paint the unassembled car (no badges, engine, glass, interior, etc). There's still a long ways to go after paint. Sorry to disappoint you.

Wouldn't be surprised that your car finished production today and your car went in to paint a week ago

Good call. Production is complete and waiting to be released to a carrier. I guess the 1-800 updates aren't updated as frequently as impatient new owners would like
