Owning a C63 and E92 M3, I personally would choose the C63. It has a demonic exhaust note (and a menacing cold start bark) and brutal power. After a tune it will leave any bolt on modified M3 in the dust. I also like the flat bottom steering wheel, gloss CF interior, and racing bucket seats.
On the other hand, the M3 feels MUCH lighter and has superior handling. The M3's tranny is also much better, and the carbon roof is a sick. So basically, if you are a twisties kind of guy, get an M3. If you want to run consistent 11's @120 with just a tune get a C63. RS4/5....are typically under performers. Stock RS Audis are slightly slower then the competition and the weight distribution has always negatively affected the handling. In an ideal world, I would be driving a GTR. BUT, I just have to keep telling myself....happy wife happy life. L- |

With regards to the RS5, it doesn't feel as conncected as even the RS4, and it has lost all comparisons to the M3. C63 is just a different beast. A straight line brute but, again, does not feel or handle like an M3. Still, in the end, you are splitting hairs here. These all all spectacular cars, each with their slight strengths and weaknesses compared to the others.

A more balanced view can be found in the post immediately above yours - which in itself seems appropriate..

However, my M3 did feel more "wired" and nimble and I will concede the C63 needs wider tires, the glass roof while nice weighs it down and the weight will mean it will be slightly slower in equal hands (not that most of us are that good, I am not after tracking cars for donkeys years) on a tighter track. A HP track will feature the C63 PP. You all do know the AMG PP C63 is 4 secs faster on the 'ring than the M3. At the end, all great cars... drive them yourself and choose whatever you want. Everyone wants to justify what they drive, mostly to themselves. |

Yes, track, driver conditions, etc. Did you just say you would score more with women? That's why you buy cars?
FYI - the C63 in those tests is before they fixed everything and not with the AMG PP. M3 is substantially the same, not sure if those were DCT or 6M.

I never understood why people come to M3 forum to ask "which is better?" 80% of users here are M3 Fanboys so no matter what other car is in question, the M3 wins.
Personally, i don't care how fast the C63 is, it just looks ugly. If i had a choice, i would take RS5.

RS5 ... cause we like what we like.
I don't like AMG anything. To me, the M3 is just ... OLD and DULL. The RS5 is like the new, pretty girl that was hired yesterday - got all the attention (even for a little while). I think the aesthetics (interior and exterior) are just there. And I'm a fan of AWD. And in truth, the car is not some poor attempt at a good performer. It is solid on the track and only amatuerish drivers will say that an M3 will "murder" it on a track. Either way, its all about personal taste. |

If I could chime in here, also might I add that yes I am new to the board and yes I'm a tad unfamiliar with BMW's but I am surrounded by plenty here at work being that I'm a service consultant for MBZ. With that said, next door to my dealership is a BMW dealership and I do from time to time hangout there quite often being that a buddy of mine is the SM over there. After driving both my E92 M3 and a crap ton of C63 AMG's both coupes and sedans I can honestly say that the M3 does drive and/or handle just a tad better? Now of course this is all based on feel and obviously no one here is a "professional" on the subject at hand but this topic will never subside cause the two are always compared to each other in every single magazine shootout for decades... Never been a huge fan of Audi's cause I haven't been around them often enough but I will say that I have driven the R8 and boy it drives like crap IMO...
Great thing about my job is that I've been given the opportunity to drive cars like the C63 AMG Black Series and wow is that thing truly a tamed beast... Would love to drive the M3 GTS but that'll never happen, hahaha...
