Software update?

Hello.
I went to the dealer today and raised a concern about my DCT not shifting properly hoping that they would update my software. I told them that my transmission is not shifting properly in auto mode. When I got the call back that my car was ready, I asked how they fixed it. He just told me it was the software. How can I tell if the car has been updated to latest firmware?

You'll have to ask them or go to someone who has a tool to read your car.

tbh I really didn't have an issue before... so I really can't tell the difference.
