Who is Mitt Romney???
Some Mitt Romney facts I didn't know.
Mitt Romney: After going to both Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School simultaneously, he passed the Michigan bar, but never worked as an attorney. As a venture-capitalist, Romney's first major business deal involved investing in a start-up office supply company with one store in Massachusetts that sold office supplies. That company, called Staples, now has over 2,000 stores and employs over 90,000 people. Romney or his company Bain Capital (using what became known as the "Bain Way") would go on to perform the same kinds of business miracles again and again, with companies like Domino's, Sealy, Brookstone, Weather Channel, Burger King, Warner Music Group, Dollarama, Home Depot Supply, and many others. Got your calculators handy? Let's recap. Volunteer campaign worker for his dad's gubernatorial campaign 1 year. Unpaid intern in Governor's office 8 years. Mormon missionary in Paris 2 years. Unpaid bishop and state president for his church 10 years. No salary as president of the Olympics 3 years. No salary as MA governor 4 years. That's a grand total of 28 years of unpaid service to his country, his community and his church. Why? Because that's the kind of man Mitt Romney is! And in 2011 Mitt Romney gave over $4 million to charity, almost 19% of his income....Obama gave 1% Joe Biden gave $300 or .0013% This is real character vs....well you know what! Romney may not be the best representative the Republicans could have selected. At least I know what religion he is, and that he won't desecrate the flag, bow down to foreign powers, or squander my money on vacations. I know he has the ability to turn this financial debacle that the "Spending President" has gotten us into. We didn't know that when Obama said he'd give us change, he meant nickels and dimes, and he would get the big bucks. We won't like all the things necessary to recover from this debt, but someone with Romneys background can do it. But, on the minus side, He never was a "Community Organizer", never took drugs or smoked pot. Never got drunk. Did not associate with communists or terrorists. Nor did he attend a church whose pastor called for God to damn the US. |

Gee, we're all sooooo impressed!! What a great guy, and there's absolutely no hypocrisy in that synopsis. Let me make just a few observations.
His educational resume is impressive, two ivy league schools - sounds exactly like Obama, except Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude. Where's his transcript, where's his writings? And you might want to consider that having a super-wealthy white guy attend some good schools isn't exactly shocking, is it? Impressive list of companies there, woweeee! So did he create, found, or develop any of those companies? Or are you just trying to impress us with these names? And he took no salary for so many years, wow, how admirable! Convenient that his family is worth hundreds of millions, that's quite a sacrifice! Sort of like how Obama did years of pro bono work for the community, oh except he didn't have a trust fund daddy. And yes, there are lots of tea party types who say they don't know Obama's religion, yet all the sane people in the world know exactly what Obama's religion is, and it's not some crackpot cult like mormonism. Those people are just plain nuts. And isn't it reassuring that Romney's the descendant of polygamist traitor ex-patriots? So tell me how you know Romney never drank or took drugs. And is that desirable? Sounds like a freak to me. Finally, here's the real scoop - all that stuff doesn't mean shit. Only one thing really matters; how has he acted as a leader, and how do we expect him to lead? That's easy to answer - he is a soulless political being with no integrity, no morals, and no loyalty. As governor of Massachusetts, he supported and stood for everything he now opposes. He stands for nothing, represents nothing, an empty suit. He governed by raising fees on everything, while claiming not to raise taxes. He put his state 47th in job creation. He was an unliked leader. His political ads feature blatant lies, even going so far as to take a sound bite from Obama quoting McCain and representing it as Obama's own statement. That's as low as it gets. Good luck with your guy there! |

As for work experience -- you got to be kidding me right??? Up until the time he was elected to the highest office, Obama NEVER managed anything in his life -- and it shows in his executive leadership. Mitt Romney has more experience in his left pinky than Obama ever had. Quote:
![]() And you are right, all that doesn't mean shit! What really matters is that this country is worse off today than it has ever been in recent memory. This country has never been as divided as it is today under the current adminstation. This country is heading down the road to financial ruin thanks in part to the Obama adminstation and people like "you!" Now you go ahead and spout more of your left-wing nonsense -- nobody is listening. |

Call me names? Check.
Disparage the entire democratic party? Check. Hypocritically blame partisanship on the other guys? Check. Make patently bullshit statements about the state of our country? Check. Falsely claim that I used the race card and class warfare? Check. Yep, It's all there. I so wish I could magically transport you back to Jan 2009, and leave you there. |

Classic bitter liberal clap trap. Can't just say, "seems like a nice guy, been successful in some full contact capitalist endeavors, a life of much service to others, good looking family--but I disagree with his political views. Gotta try to somehow convert clean living and success into something small. It's pitiful and reflects more on the speaker than the subject. Can you imagine having one of these unhappy and negative people as a next door neighbor or a relative? Eeeeesh!

And is your head so far up your ass that you can't see the hypocrisy in your comments? "seems like a nice guy", "a life of much service to others", and "good looking family" is how many Americans describe Obama, yet I can produce, oh, let's say hundreds of posts, from you and others like you, who couldn't have been more venomous and frankly inhuman to the guy. And how much crap has Obama gotten over his education, which is superlative by any measure? How 'bout his Christianity, or his family background? True, he's not the descendant of America-fleeing polygamists, but we can't all be perfect. I can't imagine how much ignorance it takes for someone to shit on our guy for a half-dozen years, and then turn around and say "oh, you had better be nice to our guy, he's got good hair and a strong chin, and he comes from wealth". F- that. |

Right then I knew I'd never vote for him for any office. He has no sense of honor at all. He fails to understand that the contract was not between the APA and himself; it was between the APA and the state. It was a legitimate contract negotiated in good faith. Remember that the Obamacare law that the GOP hates so much and that Romney criticizes so often is really Romneycare ramped up to national levels. Romney can't even make up his mind about whether the penalties are indeed penalties or taxes. He was pro-choice, then he wasn't. He was for gay rights, then he wasn't. He will tell the voters whatever they wish to hear because he has no honor and knows he won't have to make good on any promises (although that can be said for *any* politician, including Obama). I'm no fan of either candidate, but the article posted at the top of this thread is pure spin and does not indicate honor or self-sacrifice. Romney does what's good for Romney. He wouldn't know a selfless act if he witnessed one firsthand.

You REALLY think those are his huge achievements? lol. But hey, you like to post Fox News links here, right? Let me post an equally partisan bit here for you. Quote:
