Yeah cool another SC option! I saw the VF kit on smoking tire and sounded good.

The hp at the crank seems low if whp is 472?

Good catch, crank numbers were taken from VF's website, which should have been 556hp/crank. Kit is rated at 540 @ crank.

OP has been updated.

That is one very clean looking engine bay, how many miles are on there?!

The kit is putting down some nice peak numbers for such a conservative psi! I think one of the big advantages of this kit over some of the other non-intercooled kits out there is that to upgrade, one doesn't have to swap manifolds! I imagine that will make upgrades much more affordable and easier.

If I may ask, is that small dip in power on the top end characteristic throughout all the VF540 kits or is there some other potential cause (adaptations, tune, mechanical, etc).

Kit was newly installed, so some adaptation is still needed.

Most parts on the VF kits are interchangeable, eliminating the need to purchase additional pieces when upgrade time is near.

Careful planning was taken in the R&D phase. All VF S65 manifolds have a cassette-style provision in the rear for 1 of 2 heat exchangers used when upgrading to the VF620 (intercooled) systems:

In the VF540 kits, these are simply closed off with a block-off plate. When upgrading to the VF620 (intercooled) systems, the heat exchangers (Manifold and bumper mounted) are provided along with accompanying hardware.

Best part is - all hardware is retained and nothing is replaced, other than the pulley/belts, and software.

Wow, I really like how the cooler is removable like that. Have any pics of the heat exchanger itself? (the part that mount down near the radiator)

I wonder how the Heat performance would be compared to the ESS for florida weather..

it's down to this or the ESS 535 kit for me at this point.

Thanks for clarifying. VFE did a great job developing this kit, especially as a nice starting point for future upgrades.

Tom, any clues on the following would really help us humid/hot weather guys:

1) how are the early performance measurements compared to ESS in hot/humid weather?
2) Any feedback yet on the feel of the tune between VF and ESS?
