Video: Akrapovic Evo Music played by a 1M and M3

Took some clips to test a car camera rig setup. The rig was on the 1M and M3 which both have KW V3 suspension so they weren't the smoothest cars to put the camera on, but worked out okay. The heavy camera shakes were because DSLR's are so front heavy and only have 1 mounting point (I need to solve that). Anyways, we seemed to capture pretty good sound from the exhausts so I figured I'd share them.

I am very picky when it comes to photography and cinematography. In all honesty, I am usually not a fan of all these car "videos" that pop everywhere these days.

But this video does a very good job of realistically depicting exhaust tones and volumes. You covered pretty much the whole spectrum of the exhaust. Your angles are straight and you have great composition.

Very well done!

i just cannot get into the 1M sound. i honestly think it sounds like crap.

the S65B40 is a whole different story. that sound is music.

Thanks. I was using a 5DII. I don't really feel comfortable mounting my Mark III on the outside of a car just yet.

Would you be able to share a list of equipment that you used?

I'm very curious, but I will admit, I'm not sure if I have the balls to even mount my 5DII on my car, haha.

Camera was mounted to a stickypod director. 16-35mm lens on the 5D. Had a Zoom H4N portable recorder (with wind muff) suctioned to the rear bumper of the car we were filming.

Wow thanks for making that awesome vid! I love the way the M3 sounds in comparison to the n54 with the Akra...although that n54 sounds like it's got a couple other mods like intake and higher boost and is probably an absolute beast in a straight line.

Nice setup! The H4N is an awesome recorder. My buddies use them at a lot of weddings.
