Trying to gauge interest in Event
Guys:
I am trying to see if I can get a BMW-M meetup organized for cigars and drinks in the northern VA area. If there is already an established group a link or contact would be much appreciated. I don't know if you guys remember the event I threw a year back with the guys from the NOVA sports car club, but it was pretty fun. We are going to do it again, but an event with BMW M's would be even more fun. I am trying to get the Manager of BMW of Alexandria to bring by the new M6, M5, 1-M and X6-M by for viewings. I am also trying to persuade them to bring an M-certified Tech to answer any and all questions our guests might have. I am also getting a rep from BMW Motorrad to bring by the M-color S1000RR with his top service tech as well. They will bring information on track days to Summit and VIR for anyone who rides. I truly want this to be an annual event and would like to see the M-owners in the area rally to help out. Any and all information would be helpful.

I am shooting for the evening of the 17th of August, Friday. (Please tell me if this works for you guys). Other dates can me recommended.
I am speaking with IRIS in Tysons to see if we can take the upstairs cigar lounge. I would prefer people to be able to smoke and walk outside like we had at Panache (past event), but since the weather is somewhere between OMG and WTF I would now prefer our guests to stay cool. I want to keep the costs down for our guests and entrances to be free for our drivers (You're already bringing your BMW for show...least we can do is give out cigars and drinks). For this I will try to get our office and one other corporate sponsor to pickup the event. I will keep you posted on prices for guest tickets. And OF COURSE women and spouses are invited. Undoubtedly another Cigar roller like the last event and this time around I am getting a Glenlivet rep from VA Spirits to do the tasting. We will have finger food as well. If we do have enough folks coming from a long way off (ie GA) I will try and coordinate a BMW M cruise from Tysons VA to Hollywood Casino, VIR, or Summit the following weekend and get prices for you guys if you plan on spending the night there. We have some time and this can turn into a great event we can do annually.
