bmw.ca car configurator

Reinstalled java multiple times. Works the first time and never after this.
I have to kill my chrome/firefox/ie session in taskmanager (Win 7 64it).

Am I the only one with a problem? Seriously pissing me off now.

The mercedes benz site works rather well.

Never have an issue on my mac, but I dont use the configurator much. Open Java Preferences in the Utilities folder (in applications) and make sure you have the java applet box checked

Haha, I used to work for the company that maintains BMW.ca, the code is the WORST code I've ever seen my life. The Mercedes-Benz site is built by a competitor and was always something BMW.ca got compared to (MB site being much better). So glad I don't work for that company any more.

How long has it been since you left? Seems like the configurator is get better.....

I always thought having to launch a java applet in a webpage was fine in the early 2000's but not necessary any longer. I don't ever see this happening with VW/Toyota or other similar websites. Just my observation ...

I'll give them a call next week if this is still happening on Monday.

Called BMW Canada this morning and they are well aware of the problem and have had numerous complaints which has been escalated to Germany.

No workaround at the moment and no resolution date, or date range, either.
