Pricing on 08 M3-Need input

Guys,
What do you think would be a good price for this car at the dealer?

08 e92 Black M3 listed for $47.9 w/18k miles.

Seems to be a FAIR starting point... Offer $44K.

I would aim for the $40-42k range based on the mileage.

Garage List
2012 E92 M3  [5.00]
It's hard to tell. The link provided doesn't show any pictures. I also queried their website and discovered there are no pictures. Based on the written description they provided the car seems like a base/stripper model. It appears to be a manual with zero options and speed cloth seats (Not that there is anything wrong with that). It would probably make a great track car if that is your intention. However, a 2012-2013 base/stripper model runs around $62,500 and it's brand new which isn't too far north of the asking price for a soon to be 5 year old car without a warranty.

I personally wouldn't pay that much for a 5 year old base model car. I would offer 40-41K and cite the lack of any options to justify the lowball. The dealer may move down to 45-46K.

Good Luck!

With apologies to the OP if this seems an intrusion, but is the pricing on the '08 really still this high? As an owner I guess I'd love that, but in my head I'd assumed an '08 E92 was seldom going for more than very low 40's.

If my garage-queen-never-even-seen-rain-under-15,000-mile-fully-optioned-other-than-DCT '08 is really still worth $47K, I seriously need to sell it and get a 2013.

Hell, if the OP wants to drive to DFW, I'd probably sell it to him!

$38.5k would be a guess, as an out of warranty 08 w no options?

This dealer traded in the car for $45k, so they wont take any less.

The pricing on 08's is ridiculous. The funny thing is, sellers actually think they're entitled to that 6-8k above market price.

The dealer actually increased the price by 2k since I posted this. Ridiculous.

I may be wrong but that option list (not sure) looks pretty nice...Nav...heated seats...PDC...19" 220s...CA...sun blind...no roof...

But no leather I guess?

Interesting car...

I just bought my interlagos 08 M3 for 46K and some change from a dealer. Mileage at 11,000. Absolute mint condition. Reasonably optioned, but not every box checked for sure. I guess I was the odd one out looking for an M3 without Nav/Idrive, etc, so I got exactly what I was looking for. Aftermarket performance exhaust already on the car. After looking at KBB, Edmunds, and NADA, I thought I got a reasonable deal.

This seems more like it. I got my E90 a year ago from BMW dealer with 20k miles with all options except heated seats, shade, DCT, and extended leather for $45k CPO till 10/14.

$41000-$49000 is reality if CPO and 10000-45000 miles and all options. I bought mine about 8 months ago with CPO, 45000 miles and every option BMW offered and 6 speed. I paid $45000 out the door with an extra $45 for tax and license.

I would offer $41000 cash.
