When one wants a cabriolet, is there really any other choice than an M3? No. No, there's not.

That blows IMHO. I hate reading that...I just always thought there would be a manual available for all M's.

I don't feel the pain. This DCT was my first, and I'm not going back...

While I do think it is inevitable that the MT will eventually disappear, the M3 and the M5 hardly cater the same buyers. The track is littered with M3 owners; an M5 is an extreme rarity.

+1 The M5 is hardly the diehard enthusiast car that the M3 is..its a 4 door luxury sedan...I cant see many ordering this car with MT anyways..and this has been confirmed by BMW

Why would anyone be happy with being less involved in the mechanical operation of a performance vehicle? Stupid.

Well I figure that the M5 is more of a cruiser when compared to the M3, so that makes sense. I also see that figures of 80-85% of M5 models sold are DCT's so it was just a matter of time.

I rather do like that BMW was very definitive on the M3 "always" retaining an MT...looks like the whole world hasnt lost its mind afterall..
