That blows IMHO. I hate reading that...I just always thought there would be a manual available for all M's.

I don't feel the pain. This DCT was my first, and I'm not going back...

While I do think it is inevitable that the MT will eventually disappear, the M3 and the M5 hardly cater the same buyers. The track is littered with M3 owners; an M5 is an extreme rarity.

+1 The M5 is hardly the diehard enthusiast car that the M3 is..its a 4 door luxury sedan...I cant see many ordering this car with MT anyways..and this has been confirmed by BMW

Well I figure that the M5 is more of a cruiser when compared to the M3, so that makes sense. I also see that figures of 80-85% of M5 models sold are DCT's so it was just a matter of time.
