I lost all of the money I spent on mods with my Grand National. I was told to keep it stock by some wise old people. That was my daily driver as is the M3, and I can't barely afford to fix it if the motor blows.
The best cure for the modding bug is to not afford it. But if you can afford to kiss that money goodbye forever...Why not? |

Your original post is EXACTLY how I feel. Having just got the M3 a month ago, I felt the same way. "I'm buying a brand new, fully loaded, M3...what else could I possibly do to make it better?"
...one month and several thousand dollars later...I know exactly what you're saying. No regrets though! ![]()

Love this thread, it's a great read and the OP car looks great ... no question about it ... then I read someone saying ... we need to come up with a "12 Point Plan"
Now while I must agree to mod your car is fun ... then on the other hand you never get your investment back so ... let me share with you my 12 point plan ... Plan to keep this fine ///M3 Automobile Stock (well as close to it as possible).
Now having said all this ... I did make a mod, well sort of ... had my windows tinted and got some nice ///M summer mats in Alberta last year on sale. Now we are not all the same ... then don't take my advice I just think different about all this ![]() As I said before someone mentioned "We should come up with a 12 point plan" well here is my 12 pointer and I'm sticking with it ... a CF performance spoiler perhaps next year when I am in the US ... it will be like giving my toy a bracelet ![]() http://www.universetoday.com/99203/v...-station-crew/

^ very good points Rolf, you read my mind.
Also, I would not even consider buying a used performance car that has been modded and always keep my cars stock besides very minor (reversable) cosmetic mods..... E9x's are pretty much perfect the way they come..... Besides couple of cosmetic mods they do not require much IMO..... But then keep on dumping money in them people.... It are makes the stock unmelosted cars worth whole a lot more ![]() As far as the op..... Even the white unmatched reflectors look horrible. Sorry! may be get some clear ones or go all out amg get a euro bumper if the bug you that much.
