Some footage from Laguna Seca with various camera angles

Was at Laguna yesterday and had a blast. I beat my previous best time, but only by a few tenths of a second (1:48.10). I think I would have broken into 1:46-48 a couple times if it wasn't for traffic at the last corner. This is probably the last time I'll be driving in group B which is point by passing only. I feel like I'm at the point where I'm faster than most in the group and I'm always getting held back by traffic.

I also saw OC3, Kaiv, and wwjd15 there and they are very fast!

Anyways, here are a few clips:

great post. how much does the tele metrics system cost you? have a link for that?

For the hairpin(turn 2) you should try being about a car width off the first apex, instead of 3-4.

I'm sure this is the line they teach at DE's, but its so far from correct and super slippery out there.

Incredible vid...thx for sharing. I've been around this track a zillion times on video games but hope to do it someday in person.

My M3 build is a copy of your car. I can only dream to be able to drive it as good as you someday.

Yea I learned to single apex that turn (BMWCCA HPDE's) and always get mixed suggestions on the best approach. I know the race line is to double apex, but I just haven't bothered experimenting with that yet. But most of the time I was seeing how late I can brake going into that turn so it was taking me deep a few times.

You will always get mixed suggestions as it is not a straight forward corner. Do some experimenting, your stopwatch will thank you.
