On my previous Audi RS4, I did the same thing. I was looking for the perfect wheel/tire combo that I could also use with my Stasis Motorsport suspension. I did a huge amount of internet research, took all sorts of measurements on ride heights, tolerances, different tire widths/diameters, etc. In the end , I came up with the absolutely perfect set-up. So, yes.....I am taking it all in ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'll have a pretty much brand new set of 255/35-19, 275/35-19 set of pilot super sports (less than 1000 miles) up for sale this weekend if you're interested. PM me

I've driven 255/35/19 PSS up front with ZCP wheels, AND 12.5mm spacer, AND KW sleeve over kit. Having them about 7k miles, I hear it slightly rubs inner tire room only a few times for entire 7k miles. Although it's not perfect, it's "no rubbing" set up in my opinion. Hope this help you.

I'm running 265 with 5mm spacers on my FI. Slightly rub on full turn.

So here is where my head is at right now.....
Option #1: Just get PSS in stock sizes to go on ZCP wheels. This will give me better grip than my POS Conti 3, and I know it will fit and still give me the flush look I like with my 12mm spacers. Option #2: Go with 255/275 PSS on my ZCP wheels. I will likely have to pull the spacers or tolerate a very minor front tire rub. I will certanly get more grip, but will be adding a small amount of weight to an already slightly obese wheel. Option #3 Get a set of APEX ARC-8 wheels with 265/35/18 front and 285/35/18 rears. I will drop 5-6 weight per corner overall, have maximum grip, better ride, perfect fitment. I lose a little in the looks department with respect to the wheel itself. I wish HRE made their P40 SC in an 18" size. That, for me, would be a "no brainer". I was also looking at the APEX EC7, which is better looking, but is slightly heavier than the ARC-8. However, if I am going to go with 18's for all their performance and ride advantages, I may as well go all out for the lightest wheel possible. Thanks to everyone for your input and advice. Keep it coming !! For me, its all about finding the best balance of all the factors....Looks, grip, responsivenss, weight, ride comfort.

Another thread a while ago. I just seemed to remember based on your sig picture. I think you had the really nice floor. I have a photographic memory.

I like opt#3, that one is a performance improvement that you should feel.
Opt#1 is solid. The PSS has a lot more grip than the Conti's and looks better too. Broader shoulders, they don't look as stretched on the ZCP wheels. Option#2 isn't going to give you much more grip and only adds weight (been there). I'd go with at least a 285/30-19 rear if you want more grip and lose the spacers. |

Ordered 18x9.5 ET22 front (weight =21.75 lbs) and 18x10.5 ET27 rear (weight=22.5 lbs). These will be fitted with Michelin PSS in 265/35/18 and 285/35/18. Now, once again, the wait begins !! Might have to get a few other mods in the meantime to tie me over. ![]()

That's a nice wheel! Looking forward to pics and review with the new wheels/tires.
Oh yeah...the wait is tough to endure. I agree, a couple of little mods in the meantime should get you through it. |

When you drop you automatically dial in more negative camber so you should be okay.

From my experience it really depends on what tires you run. the 255/35/19 ad08's + 10 mm spacer i ran in the front rubbed all the time on the fender liners at full lock. the 245/35/19 ad08's + 15 mm spacers rub very very slightly when i turn full lock to the right side only on the right wheel. I had a buddy who ran 265/30/19 ad08's in the front and he was in the clear. Wide 255/35/19's will rub in the front indefinitely and skinny 255/35/19's in the front like the k110's will not give you any issues. but k110's are garbage compared to anything stock, so why run these anyways...
I personally hated the way 255/35/19's felt in the front. the extra grip is noticable and is phenomenol but i feel like they are overkill on the streets. it made steering feedback more numb and the constant rubbing had me incredibly annoyed. wen't back to stickier than stock 245's in the front and haven't been missing my previous 255's. if i was a track junkie and needed the extra grip in the front i would probably run 265/30/19 tires. |

I have 255 on a 9.5" wide HRE with no rubbing and lowered on KWs, I got to get the offsets from HRE

The Conti tires are the root of the whole issue for me. Honestly, if the car came with PSS or even PS2, I woulb likely just leave it alone. But....if I am going to spend the money to change the tires, then I might as well spend a bit more and get a full set up that has better grip and better ride.

Yeah thats what I was thinking as well, I also have adjustable camber plates (vorshlag) on order. My car actually came with ps2s, but I'm looking for something stickier, ad08s should suffice.
