Thats how you interpret my post..info is out there for people to make up their own minds..thats the whole point of this zoo

Dude I secretly think you must have a financial stake in the aftermarket for these cars as much as you yap about it...do as you like..again my post was for the OP..no one likes the critical posts but its the critical thinking and posts that brings issues to light...not the mind numb agreeing that everyone including youself seems to do

Without people challenging the status quo...no improvement happens..its called professional skepticism..hope you are more critcial in your thinking with regards to business as you are to modding..

I think we must each come from a line of feuding families or something..as we never see eye to eye on anything..but thats what makes the world spin I suppose

Since OP is asking he/she should know this problem is not unheard of..or do you not belive in sharing information here with other members?
The information you posted is irrelevant to this topic.

The prior owner of my Akra rear section mounted the tips on one side so they were touching and there is what looks like a scorch mark (can't see when mounted), but no issues at all with the bumper. Like everybody else I've never heard of the bumper issue and I am no Akra evangelist.

I even double checked today at the track. The tips are extremely close to the diffuser but not touching and there are no marks or anything and they were quite hot today

It was quite a surprise to see my thread referenced here.

I obviously cannot comment on the Akrapovic, but I do have melting issues with my Remus Race. It started after running it hard on the track on the driver's side. I've tried adjusting it more than 20 times but it always seems to expand and shift over to touch the bumper.

I believe it is a function of the larger tips and the limited adjustment (I've heard that this is a challenge with the Remus exhausts) I will have to repaint the bumper at some point because of it.

Yeah, I have the same issue with the B&B. A hot track day will do it if your tips are large and rather close to the bumper.

No melting here with over a year of use and 12,000 miles.

As mentioned before, a correct install will prevent any problems like this.

8000 miles, one lap of america this year, 200 laps at the newly opened AMP and no issues at all even with ESS vt2-625 kit. The ti is rainbow colored - which means it's gotten to very high temps!
