2k Rpm Drone Please Help

I have eisenmann race with catless x-pipe.While the sound is amazing in higher rpm's it is not nice at low rpm's.I usually stay between 2k-2.5 on the freeway so i need your help here.I still have primary cats on the car.My question is if i delete them and put oem secondary cats to my x-pipe,can i eliminate drone ???

I'm not an expert but I'm going to say no. Getting an xpipe is just going to worsen it.

If you could eliminate the drone on an Eisenmann Race you'd be a God...there's nothing you could do short of replacing it would eliminate the drone. But man, what a sound!

I even get drone with the Eisenmann Sport & Challenge sport around 2000-2200. Not much, but it's there. If it's bothersome, downshift or get in the throttle to get out of that band.

Buy an akra evolution

But heck I'm so sensitive to loud exhaust I think even that drones at 2,5k. Im told that's just more bass in the tone but the slight vibration I get on my nut sack tells me it's drone

2-2.5K on the freeway is pretty damn slow.

I don't think the M3 was made to cruise that slowly on the freeway.

OP, if you can find an exhaust shop that can find some space for two Heimholtz chambers like on the AA, it'll drastically cut the drone, nut is pretty tight ba k there with the Eisenmann's huge can. Another option would be to weld in some resonators into the connecting pipes, but that'll mellow out the exhaust in general a little too.

It does drone at the same RPM range but it's tolerable. It's crazy loud on a Race exhaust.

It's about 70mph with DCT, which is about what traffic flows at in the OC. LA is even slower.

2k RPM on the highway is like 55-60mph? isn't it? -.- Your M3 is doing a favour by trying to bother you with the drone

As others have said, either cruise at a faster speed/lower gear for higher RPM or your current exhaust setup isn't for you.

Same setup as mine. You'll need to make adapters for it as it will not bolt on.

Do the included adaptors from Akra not work?

The only proven method to eliminate drone on aggressive exhaust setups are side branch resonators..curious why there is not more aftermarket applications for M3s on this..I suspect space and cost may be big factors

Correct. You have to have something custom made.
