Stage 1 tunes? Opinions please.
Hey guys!
So i'm thinking about getting a tune and I actually really want to do a stage 2 tune for the power but i'm more concerned with my eisenmann race without the primary cats being too loud. So right now i'm wondering whether or not getting a stage 1 tune is worth it because I understand that i am not going to gain a ton of power. But for those of you with a stage one tune... did you guys enjoy the other aspects of the tune? For the record as well... did you guys still feel significant power with the stage 1 tune? |

I have AA tune and full catless exhaust. When it was running stock tune it was loud as hell. After the tune it actually got quiter and sound is more refined. Get rid of the cold start, it actually helps a lot to keep things civilized.

I ran the ESS Tune with the Akra Evo before I got the ESS VT2 sc and loved it. I removed the cold start as well and was very happy i did so was everyone who lived close by
the tune def makes a difference and was very happy with the end results. the car shifted smoother and was a lot smoother through the power band. Good luck with whatever you end up doing. Make sure to really search the forum before you make your pick on which tune you go with. there is a ton of great info on here. GL

I am personally running Dinan because I am a Dinan dealer. Dinan is the most tame but is backed by a warranty. Cold Start is eliminated and it does feel smoother throughout the RPM range. DCT shifts are faster and smoother.

I love my Evolve Automotive Stage 1 Tune for my otherwise 99.99% stock car (I have IND Reflectors
)I did notice a difference, especially in above 4500-5000RPM. The best part is that my car isn't too loud or stinks, as if I were to go to a catless setup. Here's my review of the Evolve tune. I do have intentions of doing back to back dynos, but my schedule has been way too tied up to go to my usual dyno location. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=659146 Best of luck with your decision. After reading and doing lots of research, for the E9X M3, I would go with only Evolve Automotive or ESS Tuning.
