Hey all,

Afraid I've been vein and bought spacers for cosmetic effect, but am beginning to regret it after only a few days.

I've heard stories about wheel wobble / vibration etc, but I've been okay in that regard. However I'm now unable to do a full turn lock due to the changed offset (added 15mm to each side at the front).

Does anybody else suffer from this or have my spacers been fitted incorrectly? I'm confused as I'm running OEM 8.5 19s yet I see others running 20s which I imagine would cause a similar problem but this is becoming unbearable! I now have the turning circle of a lorry :-/

Surely even the competition wheels must produce the same effect without any spacers since those tyres are an extra half an inch??

No one seems to have this issue that I'm aware of. Running spacers is VERY common. I run 18mm front and haven't had an issue.

Somehow I have very little clearance from the inside of the arches. After one full turn I probably have 1-2mm before it hits the inside of the arch. If I do a full lock it definitely slides.

Do you have aftermarket suspension? Aftermarket tires?

I have the comp package with 15mm spacers up front and 12mm spacers in the back. Stock tires, no rub at all.

You shouldn't be having any issue. I have the ZCP wheels (9" width) and am running a 12mm spacer. No issues at all, although the clearance at full lock is only about 5-6mm.

Actually I did notice this ..When you use spacers in the front it increases turn in radius..I am also using 15mm up front..its small price to pay imo..I am stock ZCP suspension and have no rubbing or vibrations though

Apart from these new spacers, everything is stock I'm afraid. By the looks of it, I'd only have had a few mm clearance before, and now with the addition of the 15mm spacer the increased offset pushes the tyre into the arch when doing a full lock.

Something's not right. Did you install them yourself? Is the problem on both sides? I'd yank both wheels off and re-look at the install or even re-verify that you have the correct size spacers. Are they Macht Schnell?

I didn't shop around enough, and had the garage fit the ones they had. If I'm correct they are hub-centric Eibach spacers.

I'm learning a huge deal since joining this forum - I probably should have researched a little more and educated myself before buying these. I'll take the wheels off and see what's going on.
