Swapping Tires Question
My M3 ZCP came with PS2 RFT 245/35 & 265/35. There's an opportunity to swap them for a set of RE11 235/35 & 275/35 from a C63.
My question, is this a good idea? Would you do it? Also, would the 245/35 be okay on a 19x8.5? Consider that the cost is only at the tire shop. Thanks

If you got your M3 new, your car did not come with runflats (did you buy used?) I wouldn't switch to those front tires even if free, 235/35 is quite a bit shorter than stock and you will lose grip from arguably an already under-tired front. 245/35 is perfect for an 8.5" wheel, that is what comes from the factory if you get the stock 19s. ZCP wheels are 9" wide in the front and work best with a 255/35 front. If you can get just the rears from the C63, get those and pair with RE11s in 255/35 for the front, that would be a great setup on ZCP wheels. Check the load rating for the rears though.

The star means it is an OEM BMW tire, not a run flat.

Good to know, thanks
Then I'm having some mighty traction issues. Was in a clear, flat, and dry road (rural); car is wheel spins on hard launch, then from 1st->2nd, as well as 2nd->3rd... And I thought the PS2 was supposed to be some sort of a good tire. It really takes an awful long time to warm up.
